We only saw one of the pair, but I got these two views of him or her from the rear. We slowly drifted by and she watched us constantly.

This granite cliff rises about 3,150 feet above the water and was formed by a glacier in an ice age. The vertical striations were carved by the receding ice, and the white spots are outbreaks of white quartz. It is part of Punch Bowl Cove, a set of formations dish shaped by the glacier.
