Arriving at Ketchikan. We will dock between the two other cruise ships, the far one being Holland American Oosterdam which we cruised the Great Barrier Reef last November, 2011 and took a 1,000mm telescope to photograph a total eclipe of the sun.

Out pilot and guide knew where this eagle nest was. Built by a life long mated pair some years ago, they return each year and as part of their mating ritual expand it, unless it gets vermin infested, when they move on and start over.
